Rodney Sinclair

Professor Rodney Sinclair is Professor of Dermatology at the University of Melbourne, Director of Dermatology Services at St Vincent's Hospital and Director of Research and Training at the Skin and Cancer Foundation. He is Immediate Past President of the Skin and Cancer Foundation of Victoria and President Elect of the Australasian Society for Dermatology Research.
The main research interests of the department relate to:
1. Hair biology and in particular hair fibre structure, female pattern hair loss, cicatricial alopecia and genetics of hair diseases
2. Health services research and community education
3. Photobiology and in particular chronic actinic dermatitis
4. Cutaneous T cell Lymphoma
5. Clinical trials

Rodney Sinclair is a Section Head for Hair Diseases, part of the DERMATOLOGY Faculty. The role of a Section Head is to work with their Co-Section Head(s) to divide the Section (sub-specialty area) into its component areas of research, nominate leaders in those areas as Faculty Members, and offer ongoing oversight of the content within their Section. They are not asked to evaluate articles, although we do, of course, welcome them.Links
