Customize Faculty of 1000 Medicine's linking scheme to suit your institution's needs
By default, Faculty of 1000 Medicine includes the following links from papers:
1. [abstract on PubMed] links, which allows the user to link through to the publisher's full
text (if your institution subscribes to that journal) via the PubMed abstract.
2. [order article] links, which offer the facility to order an article via Infotrieve's
document delivery service.
3. [related articles] links, which connects the user to other related papers of interest selected by Faculty Members
Subscribing academic institutions may specify that [order article] links route through to their own
preferred document delivery supplier. Alternatively, institutions can specify that document
requests should be forwarded to a designated email address, or they may specify that no
document delivery links should be displayed at all.
In addition, if your institution operates an OpenURL
compliant link resolver (such as SFX), you can specify
that all links from Faculty of 1000 Medicine should be routed through that server to the most
appropriate destination for your users.
Add Faculty of 1000 Medicine links to PubMed for your users!
Many libraries use PubMed's linkout system to provide direct links for their users to the
full texts of papers held by the library. Find out how you can extend this system to make Faculty of 1000 Medicine links appear on PubMed
