Faculties and Sections

Clicking on each Faculty will reveal its list of Sections and enable you to narrow your browse to a specified subject area.

Sort bar
Papers are initially listed chronologically but the sort bar gives you the option of sorting the papers by F1000 factor (rating), classification (e.g. New finding), chronology, number of selectors, and time span.

Rating badge

Faculty Members assign to each paper they select one of three ratings: ‘Exceptional’, ‘Must Read’ or ‘Recommended’. These are used to calculate the F1000 factor and consensus rating. Faculty Members also classify each paper according to the type of scientific advance: Interesting hypothesis, New finding, Technical advance, Important confirmation, or Refutation.

While browsing, clicking on the title of a paper pulls up this page, which shows all the comments and classifications that the paper has received from Faculty Members. Comments from Faculty Members are structured, and the aim is to have the first sentence intelligible to a general medical audience.

From the browse page, clicking on the name of a Faculty Member who has selected the paper allows you to jump straight to that Faculty Member's comments.
