Michael Avidan

Michael Avidan is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery, and Division Chief, CT Anesthesiology & CT Intensive Care at Washington University in St Louis. Dr. Avidan trained as a doctor and as an anesthesiologist at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. He moved to London, UK, where he acquired further training in CT Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at King's College Hospital. There he played an important role in building the united King's College Medical School and he began delving into clinical research. Five years ago Dr. Avidan relocated to St Louis, where he took up a faculty position at Washington University. Dr. Avidan is the primary author of two medical textbooks, he has 33 peer-reviewed scientific publications and five book chapters.
