S Arunmozhi Balajee is Chief and a Senior Service Fellow of the Fungus Reference and Molecular Subtyping unit, Mycotic Diseases branch, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In 2005 Arun was part of Kieren Marr's team, in the Clinical Sciences Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, who discovered a new species of Aspergillosis, A. lentulus.

She is also a Faculty Member for the upcoming 3rd Advances Against Aspergillosis, Florida, USA (16-19 January 2008).
