Andranik Ovassapian

Dr. Andranik Ovassapian received his M.D. from the Shiraz University Medical School in Iran in 1961, followed by a residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 1966. Dr. Ovassapian joined the staff of the Pahlavi University School of Medicine in Iran in 1968. He then immigrated to the United States in 1974, and became a Professor of Anesthesia at Northwestern University Medical School in 1983 and Chief of the Anesthesia Service at the Veterans Administration Chicago Healthcare System at Lakeside in 1975. Dr. Ovassapian is a Professor of Clinical Anesthesia and Critical Care and the Director of the Airway Study and Training Center.
