Pathophysiology of the biliary epithelium with particular interest in Cystic fibrosis related liver diseases, Polycystic liver diseases, Alagille syndrome, biliary atresia and Caroli's disease. Hepatocarcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. Liver transplantation; Liver Stem Cell and Liver regenerative medicine.

Dr Strazzabosco is Past President, Governing Board Italian Association for the Study of the Liver. He is also a grant referee for several Funding Agencies: Swiss Science Foundation, EASL, CNR, University of Padova, Paediatric Liver Foundation (UK), ZONW (The Netherlands).
