Don Sin

Don Sin is affiliated with the University of British Columbia, James Hogg iCAPTURE Centre for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Research. He currently holds a Canada Research Chair in respiration (Tier II) and a senior scholarship with the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. He is Associate Professor of Medicine at UBC, Associate Head of Research and staff respirologist at St. Paul 's Hospital.
His research interests include clinical epidemiology, COPD and cardiovascular complications, the role of systemic inflammation in the pathogenesis of systemic complications in COPD, and inhaled corticosteroid use in COPD. Recently, he has conducted research on systemic inflammation and its potential impact on the health outcomes of patients with COPD; and more recently, the growing health burden of COPD in Canadian women.
