Donald Klein is Research Professor, Phyllis Green and Randolph Cowen Institute for Pediatric Neuroscience at the NYU Child Study Center, NYU Medical Center; Research Psychiatrist, Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research; and Professor Emeritus, Department of Psychiatry, College of Physicians & Surgeons, Columbia University

His clinical work has been based at the New York State Psychiatric Institute & New York Presbyterian Hospital. Professor Klein is interested in the psychopharmacology and psychotherapy of anxiety, panic disorders, depression and psychosis as well as co-morbid medical illness.

He is a founding member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and American College of Neuropsychopharmacology.  Donald Klein's other Fellowships are with The Council for Scientific Medicine and Mental Health, Association for Clinical Psychosocial Research, Association for the Advancement of Science and Society of Life History Research in Psychopathology. He also holds a research fellowship for The Scientific Review of Alternative Medicine. Professor Klein has authored 20 books, over 400 peer reviewed articles, over 100 chapters and is on the editorial boards of 8 scientific journals and the Advisory Board for Vivometrics and Freedom From Fear.
