Rubin Tuder is Hart Family Professor of Medicine (Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine) and Director of the Program of Translational Lung Research, University of Colorado Denver, School of Medicine. In a secondary appointment, he is also affiliated with the Department of Pathology.

The goal of his research is to uncover mechanisms underlying non-neoplastic lung diseases. To achieve this translational goal, he has focused on both diagnostic and experimental pulmonary pathology. Dr Tuder’s current major research interest is the pathobiology of pulmonary hypertension and emphysema.
