Robert G Dluhy is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston and Executive Director of the Thorn Center for Endocrine Disorders.

Professor Dluhy’s earlier research contributions focused on the regulation of aldosterone levels in blood by the renin-angiotensin system and potassium in normals and hypertensives. More recently, a chimeric gene duplication causing an inherited form of form of hypertension, glucocorticoid - remediable aldosteronism, was identified by his group and the phenotype of this disorder has been characterized.

Since 2001 Professor Dluhy has been Associate Editor of the New England Journal of Medicine and he is currently serving on the Editorial Board of the journal Clinical Endocrinology.
