William Rainey
Physiology, Medical College of Georgia, United States of America
William Rainey is the Regents' Professor in the Department of Physiology, Medical College of Georgia.
Professor Rainey’s primary research interest is to explore the growing evidence that chronic inappropriate elevations in circulating aldosterone occur leading to renal, cardiovascular and other pathologic complications. His lab is currently working to test the hypothesis that ectopic expression of GPCR in these adenomas mediates the pathophysiology of aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA). These studies may identify novel targets for medical management of APA.
