Wilbert Aronow is currently Adjunct Professor of Geriatrics and Adult Development at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Clinical Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College, Attending Physician (Cardiology and Geriatrics Divisions) at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College, and Director of the Cardiology Clinic at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College. Since July, 2004, Professor Aronow has also been Attending Physician in the Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College and Senior Associate Program Director and Research Mentor for the Fellowship Programs at New York Medical College.

Professor Aronow is a Fellow of the following societies: the American Geriatrics Society (Founding Fellow of Western Section), the Society of Geriatric Cardiology, the Gerontological Society of America, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the New York Cardiological Society.

He received an Outstanding Teacher and Researcher of the Year Award from the Housestaff, Department of Medicine, Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College (2001 through to 2007) and the Outstanding Teacher and Researcher Award from the Cardiology Fellows, Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College for 2001 through to 2007. He has also received awards from the Society of Geriatric Cardiology, from the Gerontological Society of America, and from New York Medical College. Professor Aronow has been a member of 33 editorial boards of medical journals and a guest editor for five other medical journals.
