The laboratory is mainly interested in the mechanisms of neuronal death in neurodegenerative disorders. The laboratory mainly works on Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Its areas of expertise are proteomic analyses of the human brain, peripheral and central biomarkers of neurodegenerative disorders, and development of experimental models of Alzheimer’s disease.
Other activities: Coordinator of the National Brain Awareness Week in Lille, France; Since 2001, Scientific Review Board of the Institute for the Study of Aging, New York; Since 1998, Scientific Review Board of the France Alzheimer Association; Since 1999, Editorial Board, Lettre des Neurosciences, French Society for Neuroscience, Since 2004, Chief-Editor.
