Teal Hallstrand is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, University of Washington. His current research focuses on exercise-induced bronchostriction, children’s exposure to Diesel fumes and asthma control. 

As well as being a member of a number of professional societies, he chairs the Clinical Committee, King County Asthma Forum, Department of Public Health and he is Session Chair of the ATS Postgraduate Course – Tools of the Trade for Translational Research. He is on the NIH Special Emphasis Panel – Asthma and Allergic Diseases Cooperative Research Centers. In 2005, he won the Young Investigator of the Year Award from UW General Clinical Research Center.
