Henry Brodaty

Professor Henry Brodaty AO is Professor of Psychogeriatrics, University of New South Wales; Director, Aged Care Psychiatry and Head of the Memory Disorders Clinic, Prince of Wales Hospital. He has served on several New South Wales and Commonwealth of Australia committees related to ageing and dementia, and has been a member of the reference group for the NSW Action Plan for Dementia since its inception. In 1997 he co-chaired the working group to write a plan for Specialist Mental Health Service for Older People in NSW.
He is the chairman of Alzheimer’s Disease International, representing 69 national Alzheimer’s Associations and is past president of Alzheimer’s Australia (NSW). He chairs the Alzheimer’s Research Committee for Alzheimer’s Australia. Professor Brodaty has published over 200 papers and book chapters, is on the editorial board of several journals and has been the recipient of a number of awards.
